“I cannot begin to tell you what a great time we had in wine country. It was such a pleasure to go to all these out of the way, private, smaller wineries. The tastings were more intimate and on such a much more personal level than with the bigger vintners. On the morning tour with George Hendry, I learned more about wine in a few hours than I did from the hours of reading I put in on the subject. My friend and I hired David for a one day tour during our very short trip to Napa this fall. Neither of us had visited before and now I realize how little research we did. (Although we thought we had done some before our visit.) I am so very glad that we chose to spend a day with David. He was a wealth of information and made our experience unforgettable. Dear David, Greetings from Manila, the Philippines. My partner, Ramon B. Arnaiz and I are frequent SF visitors. We would like to be educated further on wines, to heighten our appreciation of Napa’s fine New World red and white wines. We are thinking of an overnight stay in Napa (perhaps Auberge de Soliel or Solage in Carneros) Monday, Feb. 15, take a private tour just us two with you to a few but good wineries. What incredible luck to have come across Dave’s site! My husband and I have made a number of trips to the valley, but this was, by far, our most enjoyable day yet. Dave’s vast knowledge of the area is unmatched by any other tour we’ve had. He arranged for us to visit wineries we would not have come across on our own, and it made for such a memorable experience.
